Overview

The pop-up embed option allows you to display a ShortStack campaign as a customizable pop-up on your website without the need to add additional code for each campaign. Once you have installed the global embed code, you can easily set up a pop-up and define the exact conditions that trigger it.

Pop-Up Trigger Conditions

ShortStack allows you to create pop-ups based on the following types of triggers:

• Time on Page
• Page Path
• User Scrolls % of Page
• Exit Intent
• URL Parameter
• Time Since Last Viewed
• View Count per Visitor
• Last Viewed Compared to Date

Prerequisites

Before proceeding, you must first install the global ShortStack embed code on your website. This is the base code that allows all ShortStack campaigns to run on your domain.

Embedding as a Pop-Up

Follow these steps within the Campaign Builder to set up and publish your pop-up:

1. Go to the Publications Panel: In the Campaign Builder, click the Publish Campaign button or the Publications Panel icon (a bookmark) at the top right.
2. Click Embed Pop-up: Click Embed Pop-up and select the site you want the pop-up to appear on. 
3. Select First Condition (Show Pop-Up When):
   • Click on the blue button to choose the first condition. 
   • Click the blue text next to the condition to change the variable and setting.
4. Adding Multiple Conditions. You can customize exactly when the pop-up appears by using condition groups. The logic works as follows:
   • Conditions within a Group (AND): When you add multiple conditions to a single group, all of those conditions must be true for that specific group to match.
   • Multiple Groups (OR): You can add separate groups of conditions. The pop-up will display if any one group has all of its conditions met.

5. Configure Pop-Up Settings:

   • Layout: Select the pop-up layout (e.g., Full Screen, Center Modal, Bottom Bar, etc.) by choosing from the dropdown menu.
   • Size: Select the desired pop-up size.

   

6. Customize the URL (Optional): You can customize the path for this specific pop-up publication in the URL field.
7. Publish: Click the blue Publish button.

Your campaign is now automatically embedded as a pop-up on your site and will appear when your defined conditions are met!
